Constant and Consistent Gospel

We are to reach the nations. Jesus has purposes and plans for our lives that are only attainable through a constant and consistent investment into His presence daily.

I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways. I will delight in your decrees and not forget your word. (Psalm 119:15-16)

It will take more than a casual pick-me-up devotional time to experience gospel breakthrough in our lives and cities. As Dick Brogden says, "The best thing we can do for unreached people is to abide in Jesus." Everything in our lives, especially sharing the gospel, is to be motivated out of a deep unity with our Savior.

The Bible calls us messengers and representatives of the gospel. To be true carriers of the gospel and all that it represents we need to be constant and consistent in the words and thoughts of

God. We are to study and reflect on God's love letter to us. (vs.15) May we always be finding ourselves digging deeper into every word and page of the Bible.

It should also be a joy and delight as we study and remember the Word. (vs. 16) There are so many misconceptions and fears when it comes to investing time into God's Word. It is only when we invest this time do we truly learn what it means to live life to fullest and, as a result, experience gospel breakthrough. The lost people in our lives are worth the investment.

Are you constant and consistent in your investment to God's words and thoughts? What can you do, today, to make your consistent and constant time with God more vibrant and alive? Think of the people in your life that will thank you in the future for your constant and consistent investment that you are making in the now.
